What is a Certified or State Registered Nursing
Assistant?
As a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or state registered
nursing assistant (SRNA) with Golden Living, you would be
responsible for daily, hands-on care for the residents in our
Golden LivingCenters. This includes helping residents in and out of
bed, making sure they receive their meals and assisting with
bathing and other personal hygiene.
What Kind of Training Do I Receive?
Our program is comprised of both classroom learning and hands-on
training. Your first week will be spent learning the theory of
resident care. During the second week you will be able to apply
what you have learned at one of our Golden LivingCenters. All of
your time spent in the Golden LivingCenter will be instructor-led,
and you will get the opportunity to experience what it is like to
care for patients. Classes are normally full-time, five days a week
from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Because subject matter is condensed,
attendance and punctuality are very important.
Upon successful completion of the CNA and SRNA Training Program,
you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Golden Living
Training Center. Next you will take the State Competency Exam and
upon passing will receive a certificate from the Department of
Health Services.
What Qualifications are Required?
The best part about the Golden Living CNA and SRNA Training
Program is that no previous experience or education is required. As
long as you're willing to work hard and attend class regularly, you
will qualify. You must not have any felony or misdemeanor
convictions, and applicants will be subject to a criminal
background check.
We hope that you will take the opportunity to begin a career in
senior health care. The Golden Living CNA and SRNA Training Program
is a great way to get started. We are always seeking qualified
certified and state registered nursing assistants to join the
caring teams at our Golden LivingCenters. For more information,
