Steve Hord received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy. Soon after that, he began his journey in the long-term care industry in 1981.

Steve has been involved in numerous professional activities, including president of the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association’s Academy of Consultant Pharmacists and member of the Georgia Coalition for Health Sub-Committee on Long-Term Care. He has even held the position as pharmacy business owner, which he says helped him really understand what it means to be profitable and run a successful business.

Steve has been Director of Pharmacy for Golden Living since May of 2013. In this role, he is responsible for pharmacy-related clinical outcomes, pharmacy spend and vendor relationships for nearly 300 LivingCenters in 23 states. He works in collaboration with the clinical and chief medical officer to develop and manage clinical programs, as well as administers a staff of two that assist in survey compliance, billing adjudication and pharmacy spend in excess of $50 million annually.
